Nnamdi Kanu: Obey court order, Peter Obi tells Tinubu

During an interview at Onitsha, Anambra state, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour party during the 2023 general elections told Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu.

Obi stated that Kanu should be released since he has been set free by the courts of the land.

Nnamdi Kanu since June 2021 has remained in the custody of the Nigeria DSS.

Since his forceful return to Nigeria, Kanu had on many occasions won all cases brought against by the Nigeria government. However, it appears the government of the country is not yet interested in releasing him, hence, keeping him in custody as opposed to law becomes necessary.

Many have argued that the release of Kanu will trigger the long wanted peace in the south east. But unfortunately, the government of the day sees it from a different dimension.

In one of his court appearances, Nnamdi Kanu insisted that if he is released, in just two hours there will be relative peace in the East.
