My Ex’s Birthday Changed My Life for Good

My ex’s birthday was approaching, and she kept sending me reminders. We had separated due to incompatibility. I tried to convince her that things would improve, but she wouldn’t listen. She had ended our relationship because I didn’t have the wealth she possessed, so I wondered what gift I could give her to make her happy – absolutely nothing.

We dated for two months, during which I fell deeply in love with her. However, after the first two weeks, she started giving me attitude. Intentionally, I ignored it for two months until she finally told me we needed to part ways.

I managed to move on, but she kept bugging me about her birthday. I decided to attend, bought a beautiful pair of sneakers, and wrapped them.

On my ex’s birthday, I arrived unannounced, intending to surprise her. However, I found her with a new boyfriend, so I quickly handed her the gift and tried to leave. She took the microphone, drew attention to herself, and delivered a derogatory speech directed at me.

After the speech, security guards threw me out, and I broke my arm in the process. I fell unconscious due to the pain. When I woke up in the hospital, Jane, my ex’s best friend, was there. She had rushed me to the hospital and narrated the events that occurred while I was unconscious.

Jane visited me daily, and I told her about my relationship with my ex, contrary to what she said in her speech. Jane was marveled and apologized for her friend’s behavior.

As Jane continued to care for me, I realized I was falling for her. We started dating, and eventually, I revealed my true financial status – I was rich but had chosen to disguise myself as poor.

We got married, and that became the most shocking event in my ex’s life. Breaking my arm on her birthday led me to find true love, which remains the most remarkable thing that has ever happened to me.
