Starting a blog is always an exciting endeavor, filled with dreams of reaching an audience and maybe even making some passive income.
My journey, however, wasn’t as smooth as I imagined. For four years, I dedicated time and effort to my blog, posting content and hoping for growth, but I didn’t see much financial reward during that time.
The Beginning of Monetization
That all changed last year, in August, when I got linked with Ezoic, a platform that promised better monetization for my blog. Slowly but surely, I began to see small amounts of income trickling in.
At first, it was exciting to know that my blog was finally starting to earn some money after all those years.
However, despite the joy of finally earning something, there was one major problem: I couldn’t withdraw any of the money. The issue wasn’t with Ezoic itself but with my payment method.
The Payoneer Dilemma
I had set up Payoneer as my preferred withdrawal option. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. For reasons I couldn’t quite figure out, the money just sat there, and every attempt I made to withdraw it failed.
It became incredibly frustrating, knowing that the money was there but out of reach.
Months passed, and the funds continued to accumulate, but it wasn’t until this year that I learned about another solution.
Enter GeegPay: A Turning Point
In August, exactly one year after linking my blog to Ezoic, I discovered GeekPay. This platform seemed like the answer to my withdrawal problems. Without wasting time, I created an account and linked Geegpay to my Ezoic account. To my surprise, the process was smooth, and in no time, Ezoic sent over the $133 that had been sitting in my account for months.
Finally, I had access to my money!
Lessons Learned
If there’s one thing this experience has taught me, it’s the importance of using the right payment platform. Had I known about Geegpay earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of frustration and stress.
The blogging journey is full of highs and lows, and sometimes, the administrative side of things can cause more trouble than the actual content creation.
But with persistence, I’ve learned that there’s always a solution to every problem. Now, I can focus more on growing my blog, knowing that the financial side of things is finally under control.
